How I Met Prof. George Vithoulkas

portrait

Maria Chorianopoulou, PhD. Director of the International Academy of Classical Homeopathy, shares how she met Prof George Vithoulkas and devoted her life to promoting his ideas.

For 25 whole years I was actively involved in politics and was working in this field as my main occupation.  First, I worked as a director of the Transport and Communications Deputy Minister’s office, then as an associate of the Greek Prime Minister. After that I was a special advisor of the Minister for Foreign Affairs and finally as a director of the office of a political party leader.

I first met Prof. Vithoulkas in 2000, when I phoned him on behalf of the Prime Minister of Greece, in order to see an associate of him, who had had a very severe cerebrovascular stroke. He had been in the ICU in a comatose state for 17 days and had a brain surgery. Initially the Professor spoke to me with a good deal of reservation as to whether he would be able to help, and then he sent one of his students, a homeopathic medical doctor, to the hospital, to have him take the anamnesis and send him the symptoms. We started right away the administration of the homeopathic remedy and within three days the patient opened his eyes and was able to fully communicate. This man lived a fulfilled and enjoyable life, returned to his normal work and tasks, while continuing his homeopathic treatment with Prof. Vithoulkas. The hospital doctors had suggested that he should be put in an institution, living with a permanent respiration tube and a second tube for feeding him.

When I saw this tremendous effect I started thinking that the whole world should be informed about the amazing potentials of this therapeutic methodology and take advantage of it as well. I offered myself to work for the Academy and I considered this part time volunteering occupation as the most important job I had ever had up to that time. It fulfilled the most idealistic part in me and gave me the promise that we can become better humans, with a mission and higher vision.

In 2014 I made an important life decision. I gave up politics and decided that my life would be working full time for the IACH. I considered it necessary to spread and support Classical Homeopathy, as well as Prof. Vithoulkas’ teachings. The E-Learning Course https://www.vithoulkas.edu.gr , for the creation of which I had started to work with devotion since 2008, was now complete, and what remained yet, was to spread it throughout the world. The full teachings of Prof. Vithoulkas has made obvious the beneficial effect of homeopathy, as he could show them to the younger students, and the E-Learning Course was complemented with his books and the publications of research papers in peer review journals and presentations in medical congresses.

George Vithoulkas is not only a charismatic healer and an inspirational teacher. For me he is a teacher of life. He dedicated his entire force to spreading and defending Classical Hahnemannian Homeopathy and inspired thousands of homeopaths throughout the world. This seed has now grown for good and new, fully qualified homeopaths, who have received their diploma from the Academy. We already have more than 2000 Diplomates throughout the world. These are the evangelists of a new, effective and humane healing methodology. They are practicing the way Hahnemann had taught and Vithoulkas has promoted, expanded, perfected and finally imparted as knowledge to the younger generation.
