The morning of 24th August 2022, witnessed a tremendous loss to the homoeopathic fraternity when the great architect of homoeopathy, Dr Girendra Pal Sir left for a heavenly abode. Dr Girendra Pal was a visionary genius and internationally acclaimed homeopath who devoted his entire life to the cause of homoeopathy.
In India whenever people will talk about homoeopathy his name shall be recalled with utmost respect and gratitude. His dedication and contribution towards homoeopathy shall be glorified in the timeline of homoeopathy as an exceptional work, encouraging the future torchbearers of our profession. Dr Girendra Pal belonged to a reputed family, yet he chose a path which was uncharted and disdained by others. The homeopathy community shall remain indebted to him for his monumental efforts.
DR PAL SIR & HOMOEOPATHY
Dr Girendra Pal was born on November 15, 1938, Karauli, Rajasthan. His homoeopathic journey began in newly independent India. He was a firm believer in the famous saying, “if opportunities don’t knock then build your own door”. Dr Pal reached the pinnacle of academic life. He had 55 years of service in imparting education to scholars of homoeopathy and 45 years of research. He completed his G.H.M.S (Graduate of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery) from National Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Lucknow in 1962.
He later completed his M.D. (Hom) in Organon of Medicine from Dr BR Ambedkar University, Agra in 2005. The brainchild of Dr Girendra Pal, his Homoeopathic Medical College, was established in Jaipur, Rajasthan in 1965. The college was the first Post Graduate institute to offer P.G education in homoeopathy. The bar of education was further raised when the world’s first Homoeopathy University was established in 2010. It was committed to delivering excellence in homoeopathic education.
Dr Pal’s services to homoeopathy, humanity, education and research are unparalleled. His life efforts are acclaimed and accepted universally. Though it’s difficult to believe that our beloved and respected Sir is no longer with us, we all express our profound respect, eternal thanks, and heartfelt gratitude to the departed pious soul.
