The Global Proving of Natural Silver

Drs. Chetna Shukla and Harry van der Zee share a global proving of natural silver. Themes of time, control, boundries and anticipation were among many that emerged during the proving.

Summary

In 2005 a project was started called a Global Proving which involved three substances, Himalayan Crystal Salt, Natural Silver and Arizona Clay (Terra Indiana). The idea of using a proving not only to get to know the substance but also and primarily to bring about a change in the collective is new in homeopathy and this global proving was a first experiment. Similar like Hahnemann already stated that participating in provings has positive effects for the prover we may assume that the participation of larger numbers of people in a proving may have positive effects on the collective. The results of the second substance, Natural Silver, are discussed in this article.

The concept of Global Proving

Thinking on how homeopathy could be used beyond the usual individual approach and in a transpersonal way to help humanity move through a dearly needed transition, Harry van der zee got the idea to experiment with a global proving. In 2005 at the LIGA congress in Berlin he discussed this idea with the late Jürgen Becker, from Germany. They decided to consult a medium on which substance would be best to use in a proving intended to reach a global effect. Or, in Hahnemann’s words, what needs to be cured on a global level. The medium mentioned not one but three substances that should be proven in a specific sequence and at specific times. This resulted in the following plan: Himalayan Crystal Salt at October 1 2005, Natural Silver at January 21 2006 and Arizona Clay (Terra Indiana) at April 8 2006. Through a publication in Homœopathic LINKS homeopaths were invited to participate [1]. The different remedies were mailed to 42 individual provers while 262 persons participated in groups. In each proving all provers started at the same local time – from New Zealand the proving moved from East to West. The medium expected that proving these three substances would have a healing influence on religious disharmony in the world. This article contains an analysis of the 22 proving reports received from individuals and groups of the second substance, Natural silver. The Global Proving of Himalayan Crystal Salt was published in 2010 [2].

Method

The remedy was prepared from Natural Silver coming from an old silver mine in Germany. A proving protocol was designed by Jean Pierre Jansen. Single blind method. Only Prover number 22 (Eileen Nauman) was aware of the substance. Her shamanic journey into the whole of the disposition/character of Natural Silver was lived by other provers partly at the level of macrocosm and microcosm in varied combinations as different phenomenon.

About Silver Metal

The astrological symbol for the moon (Theme of 2) is interchangeable with the symbol for the metal silver, also called argentum. Silver is used as coinage (Theme of money) in many countries.

Silver has the highest electrical conductivity (Theme of electricity) and the highest thermal conductivity of all elements. It is the most reflective element, which makes it useful in mirrors (Theme of mirrors/reflection), telescopes, microscopes and solar cells. [3]

Silver in Mythology

The moon [moon goddess(es)] is associated with the divine feminine as in many tribal societies the feminine cycles were linked to the phases of the moon. The Moon was important in ancient calendars, helping people to measure time (Theme of time) and to determine when the best time was for planting and harvesting crops. This fertility (Theme of fertility) aspect of the lunar goddess is reflected in large numbers of the lunar goddesses, especially Artemis. In Vedic astrology Chandra represents brain and mind, emotions, sensitivity, softness, imagination, queen and mother. [4]

Themes in the Natural Silver Global Proving

On closer look the proving displayed the individualizing nature of Natural Silver that found its co-relation in chemistry and in mythology along with its peculiar, different yet determinate individualizing qualities (Organon § 119)!

Natural Silver – Chemistry/Mythological correlation

  • Issues around time
  • Pregnancy/fertility (Prover 11 & 13 tested positive for pregnancy after the proving)
  • Woman-woman/lesbian relationship (P3, 4, 11, 17)
  • Clarity
  • Central nervous system/nerves/neuralgia/electricity
  • Energetics: money/power/mind/body etc
  • Theme of 2
  • Theme on mirror(s)
  • Themes around silver

Natural Silver – Individualizing characters

  • Control
  • Boundaries
  • Mind: Anxiety/Anticipation/Nervous
  • Mistakes
  • Heart
  • Masculine/Male Energy
  • Expansion/Big/Huge
  • Sadness

ISSUES AROUND TIME

Sense of time seems strange (P1). Went back to a time before man populated this earth (P1). ‘So time today will be fluid and malleable’ to achieve all I needed to in the exam (P1). Feels timeless (P1). Haven’t got enough time (P1/P2). No time for breakfast (P2). Time is precious (P2). Sense of ‘no time’ (P3/C1). Time goes slowly (P3/C1[1]). Time is an illusion (P5) Better time management (P6). Always in time (P7). Time distortion (P12). Time warp (P16). “Isn’t it now the time to start?” (P18). Time pressure (P17).

ISSUES AROUND THEME OF CONTROL

Clear boundaries (P2). ‘To go my own way.’ (P3). No control over what we think. (P5). A natural authority has no need of control and does not have to demonstrate importance by simulated blow ups (flatulence) (P11). Strong force trying to control us energetically (P12). Anxiety about not keeping boundaries (P18). Dream: losing control (P18). What if I lose control? (P13). In control (P17). Silver – an emotional temperature control adjustment (P22).

ISSUES AROUND THEME OF BOUNDARIES

Healthy boundaries – on a cellular and emotional level and between groups of people (P2). Experimenting on the boundaries (P3). Personal boundaries seem stronger. (P5). Setting limits, setting boundaries (P5). My aura had more tight borders (P7). Happy about the endlessness of the universe, no borders, freedom (P11). “We’re all one” has to have boundaries (P5). Without having to go through border control (P12). Anxiety about not keeping boundaries with patient (P17).

MIND: ISSUES AROUND THEME OF ANXIETY/ANTICIPATION/NERVOUS

Anxiety in heart/trembling/unprepared (P1). Somebody was going to get into trouble (P2). Sadness with anxiety (P3/C1). Problems overwhelming (P4). Woke up with anxiety attack (P5). Moving head puts me off balance. (P12). Be free of the anxiety I inherited from mother. (P12). Anxiety about my health, bordering on paranoia (P12). Anxiety how we gonna manage (P12). Woke up with anxiety (P16). Anxiety in solar plexus (P18). Anxiety – when running. Using the words ‘nervous, anxious’ a lot (P18). Anticipatory anxiety about work (P18). Anxiety about husband who looks unwell (P18)

THEME OF CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM/NERVES/NEURALGIA/ELECTRICITY

Nerve pains – left breast/lung/cervical 5/right buttock/face/head/inside of left knee/heat around nerve endings – quite sore/under left cheekbone/exhaustion (P1). Worrying about the amount of electricity I’d wasted (P1). Electricity went off (P1). Our brain sees things as linear (P5). Nerves – branch out into the body, the chi and energy flowing up through all that (P5). She goes on my nerves with her complicated explanations (P13). Odd twinge in left sciatic nerve (P17). The hypophysis and pineal body are responsible for these duties or the third eye?! (P18). The electrical system blew a fuse (P5). Multiple Sclerosis (P11). Information downloaded into brain through crown chakra (P12). Body energized, as if plugged into an electrical socket (P12). Didn’t answer door to electricity man, couldn’t be bothered to do so (P17). Phone full of electricity (P18). Image of electric currents in the atmosphere surrounding the earth forming a network (P20).

ISSUES AROUND THEME OF HEART

Heart expands and mind contracts and stills. (P1). Head restraining heart (P1). Protection before my heart (P3/C3). Be communicative from the heart (P6). Flattering heart (P11). Heart to sing loud (P11/C1). Heart to try the step into something new (P11/C3). Strain to become more warm hearted, more open, more in love (P11/C3). Squeezing round the heart (P14). Felt heart racing when I took the remedy, an inner throbbing, mild fear (P17). Pain in heart region (P17).

ISSUES AROUND THEME OF MASCULINE/MALE ENERGY

Doing more left brain activities than right brain (P2). I feel complete male. I would be a good Man. But I am a woman (P11/C1). Nervous with male patient, sweating with anxiety. (P17). Dream: skull split in two parts (P17). Silver goddess said look what is happening now if we need to be reminded that draining the earth of her necessary metals – all of which for the most part are either male or female energy – both needed for stability and stabilization of the earth (P22).

ENERGETICS: ISSUES AROUND THEME OF MONEY/POWER/MIND/BODY etc

My energy was in strands (P1). Waste of energy – the money and the power bothered me (P1). Left the outside light on – the amount of Electricity I’d wasted (P1). The energy was descending in body but awareness was ascending (P1). Silver being is like ego itself – a soft, mild energy and at the same time intense and fierce (P3/C4). I just don’t have the time or energy to deal with people’s drama (P5). Lie down as feel I have no energy (P12). Dancing like a source of life, feeling an incredible energy, (P13). Energy; need to do something but what (P14). I woke up with lots of energy (P16). Ran 5 miles in fast time, don’t know where my energy came from (P17). Warm, soft energy in extremities (P18). Where major deposits of silver are, these are major hubs of energy activity that is for the Earth’s health and balance (P22).

THEME OF TWO /2

The custom of gold in 1st place, silver in 2nd place and bronze in the 3rd place dates from the 1904 Olympic Games. 2 in numerology represent the moon (1 for sun) representing balance as also contrast or opposite.

Woke up every 2 hours/Coming through double doors/2 walking sticks to walk with/2 women (P1). 2 sketches I just started painting (P1). Dream: 2 people/children/horses/girls/babies (P1). Met 2 friends (P1). Missed 2 calls (P2). Thought of 2 realities (P3). 2 year old twins (twins again) (P5). Late 2 times (P10). 2 big objects come out of my vagina. (P11). In a space between 2 worlds (P12). 2 nosebleeds (P12). Those 2 (remedy) balls, like the 2 eyes of a spider, of a scorpion, a lobster, the 2 goggling eyes at the end of its steels (P14) Two of my fingers on my right hand went numb (P16). Woke up 2 am (P17). Fell asleep for 2 hours (P17). Dream: skull was split in two (P17). 2 hours behind schedule (P17). Discomfort in stomach- until about 2 at night (P19). The sea is 2 kilometres deep there (P20).

THEME ON MIRROR(S)

Respiration connects and mirrors both heart and head/I feel inwardly reflectively (P1). Supervisor mirroring my symptoms (P1). Other people are only the picture you reflect on them (P11). Silver is liquid, always moving and reflective, it mirrors human’s emotions (P22). Mirror would be a reflection, a reverse image one. I’ve often wondered if the closest parallel was a mirror image of this one. When looking into a mirror, why left and right are reversed, but top and bottoms aren’t? Each time that we encounter the mirror, it’s time to measure the rightness of everything around us (P5). Noticing reflections more (P12). Our group-felt separate which mirrors feeling separate from Source (P5). Dreams: I went through the mirror and into another dimension. (P5).

THEMES AROUND SILVER

The word ‘silver’ has been interestingly used by all the provers together for 54 times in different context. (P1, P2, P3/C4, P11, P12, P18/C40/4, P21, P22)
