Tidbits 51: The Side-Effects Can Kill You!

I’ll tell you what I did this month.  I wrote down every drug commercial I saw on TV, the date, the time, the TV station and the disease it’s supposed to “treat”.  I have 6 pages like this:

I did it because I started seeing a cascade of commercials on TV for loss of bladder control and I was, like, “What on earth is going on here???”  There is simply no reason for people to be having this condition en masse!!!!  I knew it to be a side-effect of anti-depressants because one of my clients had this problem, and I did what I always do when I’m hearing a complaint, I ask the client what drugs she’s on.  Then I had a revelation:  What if ALL the diseases showing up in drug commercials are, in reality, just side-effects of other drugs?????

I know!  I know!  Let that sink in!

I set out to find out if it was true.  By the way, The US is one of only 2 countries in the world that permit prescription drugs to be advertised on TV.

So, one thing you can glean from these drug commercials is which diseases are becoming so common that almost anybody can relate to them!  They wouldn’t spend millions of dollars promoting a drug if the disease wasn’t everywhere; so if they’re doing commercials for incontinence and “over-active bladder”, I’m figuring this “disease” is all over town!

Let’s look at the relevant side-effects of Zoloft that pertain to bladder problems, Zoloft being a very commonly prescribed antidepressant.  (In fact, according to Scientific American, 1 out of 6 Americans is taking a psychiatric drug, mostly antidepressants!  What are we all nuts?)  https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/1-in-6-americans-takes-a-psychiatric-drug/ [1]

Side Effects Of Zoloft (relating to the bladder)

  1. Increased urination
  2. Frequent urge to urinate
  3. Painful, burning or difficult urination
  4. Loss of bladder control
  5. Bladder pain
  6. Urinary incontinence
  7. Cystitis
  8. Nocturia (frequent night time urination)
  9. Urinary retention
  10. Enuresis (bedwetting)

That’s potentially 1 out of 6 Americans with bladder-control problems!  That’s a lot of people!

I have to tell you, if you think that is bad, there are enough side-effects listed under Zoloft to account for just about any disease you might have!  For example, Zoloft can cause IBS (irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis and Crohns Disease)–all of which are huge in terms of the commercial time they’re getting; there are 22 such commercials in my 6 pages of notes, and I don’t watch that much television!  Drugs such as Entyvio, Stelara, Linzess and Viberzi are being hailed as “treatments” for these conditions; so, let’s just, for the fun of it, look up Entyvio:

Well, one of the “more common” side-effects listed under Entyvio is “Unusual tiredness or weakness”, but guess what?  “Unusual tiredness and weakness” is listed as a side-effect under virtually every drug listed at drugs.com!  I know because I just looked!  Now, what does that sound like?  Fibromyalgia?  aka Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?  And how ubiquitous is that?  Everyone’s got it!  Well guess what, there are commercials for that too and Lyrica’s the drug they’re pushing for it.  Let’s look up the side effects of Lyrica:

OMG… Dementia!  Yes, really, Dementia!!!!!!  And as you might have guessed, there were many commercials on TV for … The Alzheimers Association!!!!!  But not to be outdone by Zoloft, Lyrica also causes “over-active bladder”!

I know!  I’m shocked too.

What else is popular?  Well, as I’m sure you already know, erectile dysfunction is very popular!  And yes, Zoloft causes that too!

And…so does…wait for it… Lyrica!!!!!

I should also probably have mentioned that Entyvio causes urinary tract infections and guess what else?  Cancer!

By the way, I’m getting all my drug information from www.drugs.com.

There were a lot of commercials for cancer:  Cancer treatment centers like Fox Chase Cancer Center, St. Jude’s Hospital for Children, Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Cancer Treatment Centers of America and a cancer drug called Neulasta.  Cancer must truly be rampant for all these cancer ads to be on TV.  Here are some of the drugs that mention cancer as a side-effect:

  1. Entyvio (ulcerative colitis, Crohns Disease)
  2. Stelara (psoriasis, Crohns Disease)
  3. Humira (psoriasis. ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis)
  4. Xeljanz (rheumatoid arthritis)
  5. Enbrel (rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis)
  6. Eliquis (blood thinner)
  7. Toujeo (diabetes)
  8. Victoza (diabetes)
  9. Myrbetriq (over-active bladder)

Now, this last one begs the question:  Why on earth would someone willingly trade “over-active bladder” for cancer?  Isn’t one worse than the other–I’m just guessing?  No, I’m not suggesting that everyone who takes Myrbetriq gets cancer, just “some” people; and that’s too many people to have cancer just because they took a drug for “over-active bladder”, no doubt never realizing that it’s just a side-effect of their antidepressant and that all they had to do was stop taking it!!!!!

Other drugs that cause over-active bladder:

  1. Drugs for IBS
  2. Alpha Blockers for high blood pressure
  3. Diuretics
  4. ACE Inhibitors
  5. Calcium Channel Blockers
  6. Sleeping Pills

I think we have to acknowledge that “modern medicine” is little more than a “patient mill”, a vast money-making scheme, facilitated by the side-effects of drugs!

Just look at cancer treatment, which is an industry entirely unto itself, an industry that thrives despite the treatments being deadly and the cure rate practically zero!   In the treatment of cancer, to quote cancer specialist, Dr. Glenn Warner:

“We have a multi-billion dollar industry that is killing people, right and left, just for financial gain.”

The Truth About Chemotherapy – Toxic Poison or Cancer Cure? [3]

Stop seeing doctors if you value your life, they’re not there to help you, they’re there to make money!

That’s what Dr. Warner is trying to tell you!  The idea is to make a diagnosis–which is very easy to do — and then get you started on a drug, like Zoloft.  Now you have to keep coming back!  Do you see how it works?  Stay out of the doctor’s office, you’ll live longer!  I haven’t been to a doctor in ages, and because of that, there’s nothing wrong with me!

When I get sick, I take a homeopathic remedy.  Homeopathy actually works and has been doing so for over 200 years, but it’s not the only thing you should look into; there are a lot of ways to stay healthy. Read my articles on nutrition and natural healing, click below:

So, here is one of our many drug ads that we see on TV every day; it’s for a drug called Breo, an asthma drug.  It tries to make light of asthma, calling it “one of many pieces” in a person’s life.  But notice it says the side effects of this drug can kill you!  And by the way, these are the same companies that make vaccines, which we’re told are perfectly safe!  What is the likelihood of that?

See you again next time!
