Homeopathic Pharmacies Win
A class action lawsuit was filed against homeopathic companies Hylands, Inc. and Standard Homeopathic Co. based on the idea that the remedies were too dilute to cure anything. The lawsuit sought $255 million in damages. On Sept 18th, 2015, a jury took less than a day to dismiss the suit.

Heather Boon won the prize for her contribution to complementary and alternative medicine. Boon is leading a study on the effects of homeopathic treatments on children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, ADHD. Very good tips, Alan. Do you know who sued Hylands? Do you know what Hylands submitted as a defense and did they counter-sue for court costs, etc.?
My understanding is that Pharma picked a couple know nothing people to be the face of the suit, but then a judge allowed it to be a class action, upping the ante. The whole issue rested on the idea that : “There’s nothing in the remedy so it can’t possible work”. Homeopath and researcher Iris Bell submitted evidence showing that nano particles exist even in the highest potencies. End of story.
P.S. That won’t stop pharma from trying. Right now in the UK the Ministers are going to decide if homeopaths can still dispense remedies. It will probably be decided in 2016. The Guardian in the UK just came out for banning homeopathy on the NHS. My Nov 2015 editorial will address this. The Guardian editorial prompted considerable anti homeopathy letters. You see, they’re using the mob, just like the Nazis.
