Dear Dr. Khalsa,

I have a 10 yr old dog with impacted anal glands and have read your article in the May 2014 Hpathy newsletter as well as watched your video on the subject. I am a little confused because in the article you recommend Silicea 6c as a homeopathic remedy but in the video you recommend Silica 6x.  Which is the correct strength recommended? Thanks in advance for your help!

Greg

Dr. Deva Khalsa:

Hello Greg,

Either potency of Silicea is just fine. It just has to be the 6th (12X is also fine) or a lower potency Silicea. If there is an abscess or it is a chronic problem, Myristica is a phenomenal remedy in the 6th or 30th potency. It works a miracle with anal gland problems. The reason I do not mention this one in my video is that it is hard to find and folks have to order it online as it is not in health food stores and the like.

Hi Dr. Khalsa,

My Ollie had a bout in hospital before Christmas. For no apparent reason (even after scans, blood tests) he had over 40 degree temp, hardly any white blood cells, low platelets. They ended up putting him on three heavy duty antibiotics after a couple of days as they had been unable to identify a cause. The antibiotics brought the temp down and he became stronger within himself. Unfortunately now he won’t eat raw food, is very picky will only eat tinned strong smelling food. He is much more hypervigilant and the snoring and snuffling he had before he was sick seems to be three most of the time. Any suggestions for helping him regain his health fully. I am a homeopath and naturopath but find treating him difficult as I’m not trained with animals.

Thank you

Dr. Deva Khalsa:

Hi Suzanne,

You need a pathologist to review a slide of his white cells. It is absolutely not common for a dog to have a high fever, hardly any white cells and a high fever. He may have leukemia. One has to strongly consider a blood cancer or bone marrow cancer with these parameters.

Hello Dr. Khalsa,

I am a homeopathic veterinary therapist in Holland, and we come across more and more animals with auto-immune related diseases in Holland. How do you treat these? Do you have a protocol, or use a special method like the periodic table?

Kind regards,

Vriendelijke groeten, Frederique Spoel

Dr. Deva Khalsa:

Hi Frederique,

Autoimmune diseases are caused by the body attacking itself. It is like an allergic reaction – an incorrect response of the immune system – but turned inward. The immune system of mammals has many checks and balances so ‘self’ is never attacked. There has to be a big error in the immune system’s computing system to make this happen. There are many ways this can happen. For instance, feline vaccinations contain bits of feline kidney tissue and as cats are routinely (and unnecessarily) vaccinated they develop antibodies to feline kidney tissue. That is why kidney failure in cats is so very common. Vaccinations are a very common cause of autoimmune disease. Yet routine homeopathic remedies for vaccine reactions do not work very well. I like to use Double Helix Water (You can read the article about it on my site.) and doing an allergy elimination technique with them ( See my video section, top video and read articles on my site) using their own body fluids such as blood. Also JMT is a not so well known technique ( See on my site Free Holistic Pet Health Help section- Autoimmune – when the body attacks itself article) which is based on mycoplasms causing quite a bit of autoimmune disease working as stealth pathogens. Mycoplasms are, interestingly, a common contaminant of vaccinations and after they are in a ‘body’ they can be airborne also.

Dear Dr. Khalsa,

Since moving to our new home in Florida our Siberian cat sneezes when she eats her wet food. It is Natural Balance or Wellness, sometimes steak, chicken, bison, etc. She is about ten years old. I gave her Pulsitilla, 30c in water…no change. She loves the sun and is very affectionate. She does not like strangers.

Thank you,
Lois Speer

Dr. Deva Khalsa:

Well Lois, I like Feline Caviar for cat food. Wellness and Natural Balance are inferior to these products.   I don’t know if she sneezes out clear fluid or the details of the symptoms. With the loving of the sun I would suggest one dose of Silicea 200c and see what happens. It is great to clear the sinuses and is a good remedy in general to build up the immune system.

Dear Dr. Khalsa,

I have a poodle with cataracts. She is 8 years old and is half Shih Tzu. Her health is excellent (I am an M.D.). She eats very well. Her personality: very friendly. She eats in the morning plain yogourt and at 5:30 her supper: lentils, home made bread, and organic meat. Drinks water.
