The Centre for Homeopathic Education (CHE) is the largest homeopathy school in the UK and offers a unique education in the art and science of homeopathy, dedicated to producing the highest quality homeopathic practitioners. Established in 1998, the school has gone from strength to strength incorporating the College of Homeopathy in 2003 to become one of the longest established teaching providers in the UK. CHE is a Society of Homeopaths accredited college and now, in partnership with Middlesex University in 2004, is the only homeopathy school in the UK to offer a three year full time or four years part time degree course.

The provision of a combined Licentiate and BSc (Hons) in Homeopathy programme has created a benchmark for homeopathic education in the UK. By offering a homeopathic training at a higher education level, CHE produces graduates who not only thrive in practice but who are equipped to lead their profession. Homeopathy now stands alongside all the other major complementary therapies, osteopathy, acupuncture and herbal medicine in offering degree programmes.

Over the past 25 years homeopathic education has taken two paths. Training has either been in the classical tradition as set down by its two principal founders, Hahnemann and Kent, in the 18th and 19th centuries; or the more practical methods which have been evolving since the early 1980’s. CHE is the only college to truly integrate these two styles of homeopathy, providing a more rounded and appropriate training for future practitioners to work with modern, up to date health needs.

Our Courses

At CHE there are a number of ways to study, which means that each student can choose a course to suit them.

The Beginners Course introduces students to the concepts of homeopathy and enables them to use homeopathy for everyday ailments.

The Foundation Course is available for those students who want to learn more but don’t want to train as a practitioner.

The practitioner courses are three years full time, or four years part time and are both available at Licentiate or BSc(Hons) level .

All courses take place in state of the art learning environments. The full-time course is held at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (formally known as the Homeopathic Hospital) and the part-time course is held at Regents College, Regent Park, London. All clinical training is run from Neal’s Yard, Covent Garden, London.

CHE also offers qualified homeopaths the ability to convert their licentiate or diploma qualification to a BSc(Hons) award. This is a part time, one year conversion course held at Regents College, London.

Clinical training

For the past 17 years CHE has provided low cost student clinics for people to access homeopathic treatment at a discounted rate. The training clinics are held at the world famous Neal’s Yard, Covent Garden in central London and all consultations are just £20.00. In addition to treatment, all homeopathic remedies are provided and are dispensed by Helios Pharmacy. The clinical training at Neal’s Yard is an intrinsic part of the practitioner training programme. Students see patients at the low cost student clinics under supervision via a live video clinic. This is the training ground where students can put their academic knowledge into practice. As well as students gaining valuable clinical experience this also means that the school makes a valuable contribution to the local community in a very real and practical sense.

Practitioner development

Enhancing the academic curriculum is a complete one to one supervision programme covering clinical casework and practitioner development.

Throughout the process of becoming a homeopathic practitioner the school supports students and encourages self reflection on their own progress in psychological, emotional and spiritual arenas. This self-development work is facilitated by group work, and on to one student support is available. Not only is it important that students gain an excellent knowledge of homeopathy and clinical casework, students also get a sound knowledge of business skills, creating the next generation of successful practicing homeopaths.

Graduates

The CHE alumni can be found in busy practices throughout the UK, USA and beyond. As well as clinical work, many of them are also involved in pharmacy, research, politics, charity work and more. CHE and its alumni support each other and contact is maintained through postgraduate support, CPD and workshops as well as the e-zine and social media.

International study

Ever since CHE’s inception students have travelled from all parts of the world to enrol and study at CHE, London. In 2010 CHE joined the international stage and established schools in New York and in 2012 in Budapest. They all offer the same high standards of academic teaching, clinical training and well reputed lecturers.
