Ilse Pedler

Dr. Ilse Pedler graduated from Cambridge Vet School in 1989 and started work immediately in a mixed practice in North Essex. Within the first year of general practice she developed an interest in homeopathy and studied at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital and then The Homeopathic Physicians Teaching Group in Oxford. She obtained her MFHom in 2001 and was made a fellow of the Faculty of Homeopathy in 2023. She is currently president of the British Association of Homeopathic Veterinary Surgeons. She also trained in acupuncture and more recently in herbal medicine. She retired from general practice in 2020 and moved to the Lake District where she opened a part time practice specialising on complementary therapies. In her spare time, she writes poetry and won an international poetry competition in 2015 which led to publication of first a pamphlet and then her first full collection “Auscultation” in 2021(Auscultation - Seren (serenbooks.com)). Many of the poems are about animals and her experiences as a veterinary surgeon
