Title: Revealing The Secrets of Homeopathic Biochemics
Author: Swapna Potdar
Self-published, 2023, black and white, paperback, 77 pages
After reading this tiny book, you will be able to answer when asked, “How do biochemic cell salts work?” Apparently, the cell salts work at the level of ions in the body, the author, Dr. Swapna Potdar has explained, based on the fact, that both plants and animals (including humans) are essentially made from mineral ions.
These biochemic cell salts can be used in acute cases with severe symptoms, cases without enough symptoms, incurable, irreversible cases with weak vital force, when treating large populations, as in pandemics, and when it is not possible to get an exact simillimum. Such a wide range of application has inspired Dr. Potdar to look for the connection between the symptomatology and physiology of the biochemic cell salts.
The author has sorted out the 12 biochemic cell salts into three groups:
- Inflammation: Ferrum phos, Kali mur and Calc phos
- Electrolyte and nerve balancers: Kali phos, Mag phos, Natrum mur
- Infection, hyperacidity, and deformity: Silicea, Natrum phos
- Reaction stimulators and detoxifiers: Calcarea sulp, Natrum sulph, Kali sulph
These groups are represented by way of cases as well. By mapping the pathophysiological correlation between biochemic cell salts and their constituent ions in the body, the immense potential of the biochemic salts acute, subacute, and incurable cases has been explored by the author.
Though some homeopaths call biochemic salts polypharmacy, and point to their temporary and palliative, instead of curative action, the author holds the view that biochemic salts enable the body to respond better to any treatment.
The brief cases make a splendid point. On page 70, I found 14 tips for using various combinations of biochemic salts for addressing conditions like deworming, diabetes, cholesterol, thrombolysis, hypertension, cold and cough, fever, spasmodic cough, asthma, gastroenteritis, urinary calculi, renal support, osteoporosis, and wound healing.
This list can be used and expanded upon by students, as well as home-prescribers because biochemic salts are readily available in homeopathic pharmacies and can be used with ease.
In all, a useful book that I was able to read very rapidly!!!
The book is available in all countries through Amazon and Flipkart in paperback and Kindle ebook. Available on pothi.con in India.
