A Case of Poisonous Paranoia

The picture emerging from these sessions indicate that the remedy is continuing to act. Suicidal depression has not been mentioned. HRE has not brought up any of her physical complaints. She is doing better overall. I decide to wait. No need to repeat the remedy. No new symptom picture has emerged.

“Feeling much better. Husband and I get along. He is not messing around behind me. He will not do that. I have new clients. I have cleared up one of my offices, and focusing on a few of my clients. Taking two days off every week to heal myself. Not allowing my client stories to affect me. My husband and I will be taking a vacation.”

The remedy continues to act. HRE is improving on all levels and has not talked about any depression, suicide, jealousy, suspicion and other mental-emotional and physical complaints she had presented with. No other remedy picture has emerged. She is improving on the prescription and taking pro-active steps to heal herself – vacation with husband, time off from work, clearing her priorities: these are all positive, life-affirming actions. I decide to wait and watch.

FIFTH FOLLOW UP, DECEMBER 5, 2011: Nine months after the first prescription

HRE came for her appointment wearing a charming smile. She appeared quite relaxed. She had put on a little weight. She reported, “Feeling much, much better. Never felt better like this before. Going out with girlfriends. They treat me ok. No problem. I am relaxed. I am well rested. Getting ready for the holidays. Much to do, much to plan. I can do it. Specially because I wake up feeling better. I am not as bitchy before my periods. Even my husband noticed it.”

It has been nine months since I first saw HRE. She has received one dose of Lachesis 1M in April and another dose 12 weeks later. HRE had a mild return of her mental – emotional symptoms, but her physical symptoms have continued to steadily improve. In her fifth follow up, she has said that she has “never felt better like this before.”

She has been off her medication – on her own volition, since she saw such changes in herself overall. She does not appear to have other sustaining causes, and she is apparently in good health, “healthy as a clam” (her words). She has responded beautifully to the prescription and nine months into the treatment and two doses later, she has reported “never felt better like this before” because, her mental – emotional as well as physical complaints have steadily become less and less. Her de-personalized feeling, desire for suicide, her intense jealousy, suspicion, paranoia, stopped ears, sound of heartbeat in her ears, tightness in her head – all these symptoms have been removed and she reports “never felt better like this before.” At this point, I concluded that there is no need to repeat the remedy. I also did not make further appointments for her and suggested that if she noticed any changes in the way she felt in her body and mind, she should feel free to call me and I wished her, “Be well.”

“Yes, I will. I feel so much better and so free to talk to you. I will certainly call if anything changes.” With these concluding words, HRE shook my hand, looked me in my eyes, and took leave. I noticed that her hand shake was warm, but the grip was not as constricting as before. Her eyes, sharp as ever, had softened a bit, and as she headed to the door in her long and graceful strides, I felt a deep sense of gratitude to Lachesis for turning this woman around from talking about suicidal depression to saying she “never felt better like this before” and planning for vacations and holidays with her husband.

HRE has spoken to me briefly on a couple of occasions in January and February 2012 about her plans for her practice, and getting a new dog. There was not even a hint about anything bothering her with regards to her health. In my assessment, she has continued to do well and from April 2011 to February 2012, and she has shown consistent betterment, thanks to Lachesis.
