In this issue, German animal homeopath Jasmin-Martina Walker writes about the new Veterinary Drugs Act, TAMG in Germany, which became official January 28, 2022.
She informs us that this law forbids anyone, other than a veterinary medical doctor, from administering a homeopathic remedy to an animal. Therefore, conventional veterinary doctors, who may know nothing about homeopathy, are permitted to prescribe remedies, but animal homeopaths and naturopaths, who have been practicing for many years, are not!
That will put all of the non-physician animal homeopaths in Germany out of business. If the law is strictly enforced, then animal owners are also forbidden to give homeopathic remedies to their pets. The same holds true for many farmers who have used homeopathy with their livestock. All will need a prescription from a veterinary medical doctor.
Attacks on veterinary homeopathy have also occurred in the U.S. and the UK. What’s behind this? Firstly, the pharmaceutical lobby has been trying for years to promote the lie that homeopathy is placebo. However, that lie is hard to sustain when millions of animals (both pets and farm animals) are successfully treated homeopathically. Thus, their strategy is to pass laws inhibiting the practice of veterinary homeopathy. If they can make it go away, they can go back to calling homeopathy placebo.
Veterinary homeopathy is also attacked by veterinary medical societies, because their members don’t want to compete in the market place. Many veterinary drugs carry terrible side effects and thousands of pets die every year from those drugs. Homeopathic remedies have no chemical side effects and they can often cure ailments not treatable by conventional medicine.
Opponents of homeopathy (Pharma and medical societies) have learned how to entice government officials to pass laws against homeopathy. What often happens is that one powerful politician or official pushes through anti-homeopathy legislation.
In the U.K. it was the head of the NHS (and a now debunked UK “study” by the Science and Technology Committee.) Homeopathy was removed from the NHS and all the homeopathy hospitals were closed.
In France it was the Minister of Health who stopped reimbursement for homeopathy on their national healthcare system. This was done even though the French population and very many of their doctors use homeopathy.
In Australia it was the NHMRC, under its leadership, which instituted a contrived (now discredited) study, declaring homeopathy ineffective. It was later discovered that the NHMRC hid the results of a genuine study which had found homeopathy was effective.
In the U.S. it was the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner who proposed a phony “risk-based enforcement approach” which granted the FDA the power to ban virtually all homeopathic remedies. (He was a former board member of drug giant Pfizer Inc., and had been on GlaxoSmithKline’s product investment board).
The future of homeopathy in Germany looks uncertain as the current Health Minister in Germany called for public health insurers to stop funding homeopathy in 2010.
These politicians and officials are all highly educated, sophisticated and informed individuals. How could they have missed all the positive evidence for homeopathy, including the Swiss Government’s exhaustive 7 year study of research on homeopathy, which found homeopathy to be safe, effective and economical and recommended it be incorporated into Switzerland’s national health insurance program.
Why did they ignore the hundreds of randomized double-blind and placebo controlled clinical trials validating homeopathic medicines, and the many thousands of cured cases?
Finally, what led them to disregard the fact that their own citizens want homeopathy and that it is prescribed by hundreds of thousands of board certified medical doctors worldwide? Why would they all sabotage this valuable and important healing method? Why indeed?

After reading The Real Anthony Fauci, it is so clear why this is happening (as if we didn’t know before). GREED, pure and simple. The pharma industry is out of control, and the Klaus Schwabs and Bill Gates of this era are proving that money is power. The naive and uninformed are going about their lives as if it doesn’t affect them. I hope I don’t live to see the world crashing down around us.

Well needless to say, I hope this law is never enforced. And it is outrageous that they claim Homeopathy is a placebo but by the way, you can’t prescribe it or use it personally or in your livestock only a veterinarian can prescribe. That is draconian. In a progressive country like Germany too. Keep us updated and let us know what we can do.

Yes, Alex, I too was surprised about Germany, but then attacks on homeopathy happened in the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Australia etc. The homeopathy community has long needed a PR approach that would make homeopathy a household word. It seems a bit late now.
There is a book that was written by Bandu Sahni, “Transmission of Homeopathic Drug Energy from a Distance”. I recommend every Homeopath, including vets to read this book. It is available at B Jain.
I traveled around India with Dr. Sahni for a year watching him treat patients with his incredible method and now 30 years later I can say that it works very well indeed. No need to give medicine by mouth.
I wonder how the current minister of health in Germany could have issued a law banning homoeopathy in 2010 when he is on office only since fall of 2021 (change of government).
Next, whoever informed HPathy about the changes did not do a good research job. It’s not that ALL homoeopathic remedies are now forbidden for use in animals and lifestock. Practioners can still use alle homoeopathic remedies with the label “ad. us. vet.” and all human homoeopathic remedies that have been labelled by a veterinary for animal use.
It is not a good change but the editorial has been poorly researched and therefore does the homoeopathic field no good.

I stated that the Minister of health called for public health insurers to stop funding homeopathy in 2010. I didn’t state that he issued a law. He just showed where his sympathies were. They’re trying to destroy homeopathy by a thousand cuts. You may be comfortable with the idea that many remedies are forbidden, but not all. A healer needs to have ALL of the tools of the trade.
I just read this editorial. That’s why I answer so late. Do you know that in France, vets are not allowed to be named “homeopaths”, and not allowed either to prescribe only homeopathy, excluding other conventionnal therapeutics ?

I can’t imagine this being practically enforced on animal owners of any stripe. In my mind, when things like this come up, it’s up to individuals who see through the smoke screen to continue as they always have, using whatever safe medicines they see fit. Thomas Jefferson famously said, “When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty.”
Well said Will, thank you. The FDA has been threatening to start banning homeopathic remedies, which is a sword of damocles hanging over the homeopathic community. It’s what happens when Pharma runs most regulatory agencies.
