I am reading numerous posts online of those familiar with homeopathy wanting to take Kali Iodatum in light of the Japanese disaster and the issues continuing. As a long time homeopathic user, I appreciate the benefits of having emergency remedies as well as preventative remedies. We are on the West Coast and we feel that no one will really ever know the extent of this disaster for years and years to come. Because the remedy is used for multiple issues inc sinus, etc., it appears to be quite safe and a good bet to have on hand if the situation were to arise that it is needed. The articles online by homeopaths stated potency of 30. (Did not state “C” or “X”. What is your opinion of using this remedy in the current environment preventively or having in case of emergency and in what potency?
When a potency is stated as 30, it is understood to be 30C. Likewise for 200, or 1M, etc. Where the centisimal scale is concerned, C is not always written after the number, however for the decimal scale, it is essential to always write X. eg., 6X, 12X, etc.
If the situation were to arise, its best to have the preventive remedies at hand – however, again, depending on numerous factors, the choice of remedy may change.
