Homeopathy for Roundworm Infection

Ascariasis lumbricoides is the most common type of intestinal infection worm infection. Most patient recover without treatment, but complications can occur. Complications of roundworm infection include biliary or intestinal obstruction as well as pulmonary disease. Roundworm infection, also known as ascariasis, is caused by ascariasis lumbricoides. It’s the  most common type of intestinal infection worm infection, occurring worldwide. Most patient recover without treatment, but complications can occur when adult worms move into certain organs and multiply, resulting intestinal obstruction.

Symptoms of roundworms

Stomach or abdominal pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and weight loss, itchy rash, loss of vision. Nausea, bloody stool, fatigue are symptoms of roundworm infection. In severe cases, the infection can cause intestinal blockages, acute appendicitis, and even pneumonia. Children are more likely to be affected than adults.

Diagnosis tests for roundworm infection

Stool culture identifies ova or adult worms.

When migrating larvae invade alveoli, chest radiography will show characteristic bronchovascular markings: infiltrates, patchy areas of pneumonitis, and widening of hilar shadows.

Abdominal radiographs show a whirlpool pattern of intraluminal worms, intestinal obstruction may be noticed.

A complete blood count may show eosinophilia.
