May 2023 Editorial – An Invitation

Homeopathy for Everyone and the parent website Hpathy.com exist through the participation of dedicated homeopaths like you. Your cases and articles help build a strong worldwide community. We keep the guidelines for submissions clear and easy to meet. We want as many of our readers as possible to find expression here.

For chronic cases we prefer at the least a 6 month follow up. For acutes, 1-2 weeks is fine.  Length is roughly 1.5 – 4 pages. Readers appreciate brevity!  Please include the relevant history and symptoms, approximate dates of each remedy, your reasons for choosing remedies, and the outcome.

It’s pretty straightforward, and you don’t need any special writing skills to prepare a case. It’s just the necessary facts so that readers can benefit from your experience and expertise.

Of course, you benefit also. There’s an old saying that the best way to learn something is to teach it.  In the process of preparing a case for publication, you get to review it more slowly and carefully. In doing so, you will often learn even more about the case. You might find clues you had missed, mistakes you made, or other remedies that might have worked.

It’s pleasing to read about brilliant cures arrived at by first effort, but in reality, most cases don’t resolve in that way. In fact, we actually learn a lot more from cases where mistakes were made along the way. There is the hard work of analyzing, retaking the case, going over details, seeing it in a different light.

Articles

There may be a topic you’re especially knowledgeable about, or one you wish to research. Or, you might have had personal experiences as a homeopath that you wish to share. It should be something that you would want to read. Length is best at 1.5 to 5 pages.  Please include citations for any studies or outside sources.

Any topic in homeopathy is fair game and I’ve listed some examples below. One topic near to my heart is homeopathic hospitals. To me, they represent a deep acknowledgement of and commitment to homeopathy. Most people in the West, even homeopaths, haven’t a clue what it’s like to be a patient or doctor in a homeopathic hospital.
