have purchased this product for menopause, hot flushes etc. It recommends six days of taking the recommended dose but what happens after this is finished. What do i then, it does say if symptons persist see your G.P. Are there any side effects of homeopathy medicine?
Ideally, it is incorrect to be taking homeopathic remedies just based on the physical condition. Such products as you mention, though available freely, rarely work to give permanent relief. They are usually combinations of several remedies, in the hope that one of the remedies will work.
It is certainly possible that side effects can occur, especially in sensitive individuals. Correct homeopathic prescribing does not advocate regular repetition — it is necessary to evaluate the response of the patient to even a single dose. Hence overdosing is likely and extra unwanted symptoms can develop, esp. due to there being several remedies in the combination product.
It is advisable to consult a homeopath in person who will take a detailed history and select a single remedy suited to you.
