I have two questions:
Could homeoopathy be used to treat bipolar in an 11-year-old child?
Could homoeopathic remedies be used SAFELY with pharmaceutical meds (for example, Prozac or a mood stabilizer)?

Hi Kenneth,
Homeopathic treatment is certainly a good option for such a child. Using homeopathy with pharmaceutical medicines is SAFE (as in homeopathic use does not cause any safety issues) however, it is counter-productive since pharmaceutical medicines prescribed for such conditions are suppressive in nature and may block the proper action of homeopathic remedies. For more info, you could read the book “Homeopathy and Mental Health Care’ edited by Christopher Johannes and Harry van der Zee. The book has some wonderful chapters by many international authors and will give you a good understanding of how homeopathy can help your child. The first chapter will be an eye-opener about the role of pharmaceutical medicines.
