This 22 year old lady consulted me for back pain on 1/10/14. Her LBA started after delivery. On Examination SLR was found positive. There was history of renal stone too. On further interrogation the following symptoms were elicited. There was sleepiness on sitting even for a short time. Though she slept at night her sleep was unrefreshing. She had been married four years in a loving relationship, but was irritable especially towards her husband Apart from these things she was having memory problems, such that she forget recent occurrences. She was very particular in personal hygiene and cleanliness of surroundings. She liked fish especially the sardine group and spices. Chicken disturbed her stomach repeatedly and she had an aversion to milk. There was fury in her with occasional outbursts of rage.
For a final diagnosis she was sent for an Anti TPO test due to some symptoms of hypothyroidism with normal TSH level, and it was found positive.
Her case was repertorised with the following rubrics.
GENERALS – FOOD and DRINKS – sardines – desire
GENERALS – FOOD and DRINKS – spices – desire
MIND – FASTIDIOUS
MIND – MEMORY – weakness of memory – happened, for what has – just happened
MIND – RAGE
SLEEP – SLEEPINESS – sitting agg.
DREAMS – SNAKES
GENERALS – FOOD and DRINKS – chicken – agg.
GENERALS – FOOD and DRINKS – milk – aversion
GENERALS – AUTOIMMUNE diseases
BACK – PAIN – Lumbar region
BACK – PAIN – Lumbar region – stooping – agg.
As it is an auto immune disease I applied animal filter in repertory.
Anti TPO is an antibody that directs towards a gland (thyroid), so I selected a sea remedy, Sepia (Mollusca, Cephalopoda).
She was prescribed Sepia 1M on 16/10/14. Along with sl and bt.
Repeated Sepia on 11/11/14.
As her back pain was completely relieved, another SLR test was performed on 11/12/14 and found negative and advised to repeat Anti TPO.
On 17/12/14 she reported with the following TPO Result.
Salutes! Good work.
Dear Sayed,
Can you comment on this decision a bit more?
“Anti TPO is an antibody that directs towards a gland (thyroid), so I selected a sea remedy, Sepia (Mollusca, Cephalopoda).”
What is the homeopatic background support for this, Scholten approach, Sankaran approach or which one?
Can we automatically conclude that all gland issues are animal remedies?
Thanks
