27 year old female housewife, came with secondary infertility with bilateral PCOD.
She had one child 7 years old. She had being treated for the same for 2 – 3 without relief. Family history: mother is hypothyroid, grandmother & grandfather diagnosed with cholelithiasis.
Past History – h/o taking OC pills 4- 5 years back for 6 months.
Laproscopic drilling of PCOD was done, which did not help her.
Multiple IUI was done.
Menstrual History – irregular menses, 3 days bleeding, menarche at 15 years of age.
LMP – 14/08/2011 = 18th day.
Physical Generals –
Desires – sweet, spicy, meat, eggs, fish.
Perspiration – face.
Dreams – palpitation and falling on her own teeth.
Thermals – Ambithermal
Mind – contradiction not tolerated
Brooding
Hopeless feeling – She feels nothing will help her to get second child.
Introverted
Arogant
Egostism
Fear of darkness – Gets suffocated feeling as if being kept in a closed box and someone is suffocating her by pressing her face.
Investigations:
Diagnostic hysteroscopy – operative laproscopy – bilateral ovarian PCOD drilling done on (24/09/2010).
Semen analysis done – within normal limits.
REMEDY – FOLLICULINUM – 1 M ONE DOSE.
Follow Up
DATE – 29/09/2012
UPT – Positive. 6 weeks & 4 days ANC.
c/o nausea, vertigo , Lumbar pain, leg heaviness, nausea increased in morning.
REMEDY – Nux. Vomica 200 two doses.
Case was sent to Gynecologist for further management.
DATE – 25/04/2012
OBST COLOUR DOPPLER DONE ON 25/04/2012 –
SINGLE LIVE FETUS OF 36 WEEKS GESTATIONAL AGE.
E/O FETAL CARDIAC RHYTHM ABNORMALITY, REST STUDY NORMAL.
ON 26TH she went into labor and delivered a child. Birth weight 2.5 kg.
Child was having severe arrhythmia with frequent ectopics noted. Everything else was normal in the child.
2D echo – shows Acyanotic Congenital Heart Disease, small apical Muscular VSD with left to right Shunt.
Moderate Pulmonary hypertension. Frequent ectopic noted.
Normal left ventricular systolic & right ventricular functions.
Cardiologist suggested anti-failure treatment.
Child become normal without any anti-failure treatment and his 2Decho became normal within 3 months of homeopathic treatment (see next case report in this issue).

Comment : Patient was constitutionally Nat.mur, but I used folliculinum as she had history of Oral Contraceptive pills abuse which is main cause for her PCOD. I decided to give her same remedy as a drainage remedy, and the same remedy helped her.
She was being treated by modern medicine and laparoscopic drilling of PCOD was done which must be avoided.
