I have a 9 year old Retriever who has progressively become very stiff around his back end/legs. Absolutely fine while exercising and can run for miles. It’s just after sleep he struggles to lift himself up.

- Have a full thyroid test where you test the T4, Free T4, T3 and Free T3. You can go online to Hemopet.org and click ‘tests’ then ‘thyroid tests’ Then choose Thyroid Panel 5 which is little over a hundred dollars and you are getting the wholesale price. Have a tech at your vet pull blood, separate it out, give you serum and you mail it USPS Priority for about 8 bucks. You can call them with any questions. Because of his breed this is important
- Put him on Rhus tox 30x three times a day for 3 weeks and then make it two times a day for three weeks. If he is doing 100% better simply stop the remedy or give it to him occasionally as needed.
- Depending on where you live, have him checked for Tick Borne Diseases such as Lyme.

I have two male Bengal cats, brothers of the same breed. Both have been having feline acne since October. Someone recommended I give them Hepar Sulfur 30c and Sulphur 30c, and I’ve been giving them these for four weeks now, twice or three times daily (one pellet each time). Although they have surprisingly changed in character (they are much more calm ) the acne -those black dots- still come out of the pores. It barely got better but just slightly.
Also, one of the cats seems to have some kind of ailment in his back legs, especially in his left leg. He can run, but he cannot jump. When I try to hold his leg and stretch it backwards it trembles and he groans. And whenever he dares to jump up, when he lands he seems to not have enough strength in the back legs and he lands in a seated position, with the legs bent. I’ve been giving him Rhus Tox 30ch and Bryonia 30ch. He got a little bit better, but not altogether.

Dr. Deva Khalsa: Silica 6x is the remedy for Feline Acne. It will push them out and you will see some little pustules but just keep giving it for a month or two.
If you can find a good chiropractor bring the cat with the back leg problem to him/her. If not find a veterinary acupuncturist. It sounds like a lumbar vertebrae and sacrum are out of alignment.

Many years ago, when I lived in Pennsylvania, you brought new life into an Aussie sheepdog mix my family had adopted. Now we have a female pitbull mix who, after years of exemplary health, has developed a few problems. She’s a rescue dog, spayed, of uncertain age – about 10 or 11 years, I’d guess.
She just received a diagnosis of a small melanoma on the lower edge of her left iris. Her irises are a striking gold color, so the melanoma really stands out. The vet proposes monitoring it for 4 months, but I’d like to treat using Dr. Ramakrishnan’s plussing technique. (I’m a professional homeopath who has treated animals for various types of cancer in the past.)
Have you any remedy suggestions for this type of cancer? At the moment, Silica looks like the leading contender. Suzie is very sweet-tempered and gentle. She puts on a good show of barking vigorously when people come to the house, tail wagging all the while, but is very trusting of strangers and seeks affection from anyone who will give it. Needs a lot of reassurance. Most of the time she’s eager to please, though she can be single-minded and stubborn.
She also has two “lickomas,” one on the left foreleg next to the pad near the dew claw, the other on the angle of her right haunch. The vet aspirated both but found only inflammatory cells. I’m treating those at the moment with Myristica 200c every 5 days until they open, at which time I’ll use a low potency of Silica to drain them. They do not appear to be bothering her particularly.
If you have any suggestions for either of these problems, I’d gratefully receive them. It’s wonderful to have you consulting on the internet!

Dr. Deva Khalsa: I am familiar with many modalities other than homeopathy and so I often use them when they work quickly and efficiently. Lick granulomas on the foreleg- I treat with acupuncture ( B12 injections into points) using points L11 and L 4 and one or two treatments totally handles it.
As far as melanomas…While all cancers make a compound one amino acid different from HCG which tells the immune system “ Leave me alone.” Melanomas make more than other tumors. Oftentimes, they do not grow quickly but in conventional medicine they are usually removed. I have one case where a melanoma responded to homeopathy and it was a Calc carb constitution dog with slow dentition as a puppy, and I believe the tumor was a painless, spongy tumor on the upper right gum which if you check – is a perfect fit for Calc carb. This huge tumor the size of a child’s football toy was gone in 10 days. University of Pennsylvania veterinary school wanted me to write it up but I knew conventional docs would all use Calc carb and it would not work. I am appalled at the way people will dose themselves or their animals because someone recommended it. The case of the Bengal cats on 2 remedies twice a day for 4 weeks makes me shiver. Homeopathy is NOT like medicine. You can easily overdose. PLEASE do not self medicate. Consult a professional homeopath.
