What Potencies Did Hahnemann use?

Hahnemann at the end of his career mainly used potencies 12, 18, 24 and 30 and that this comprised some 81% of his total prescribing . If we then add potencies 6 and 9, we cover some 94% of his total prescribing. Those homoeopaths who can with honesty say they use mainly potencies 12, 18, 24 and 30 can truly call themselves Hahnemannian. The rest cannot.

Baehr recommends Digitalis 3d trituration in spermatorrhoea and claims that it usually suffices. It should be given early in the morning. Dickinson claims better results from this remedy than from any other.

Baryta in Paralysis

Bayes recommends Baryta in facial paralysis and also in paralysis of old people, and Hartmann says that glossal paralysis can scarcely ever be cured without Baryta.

Kail chloricum

Hughes recommends this drug highly in simple stomatitis, and seldom requires any other remedy. It corresponds to aphthous and ulcerative stomatitis, with coated white tongue and a tough, stringy, acid saliva.

Chorea

Baehr claims that Cuprum will cure most cases of chorea. It is indicated where the choreic movements start in the muscles of the fingers and toes and extend to the limbs.

Phosphoric acid has been by some considered almost specific in the diarrhoea which precedes cholera, particularly if the evacuations are frequent, loose and slimy, or of a whitish gray color, or if they consist of undigested substances.

After any very weakening fatigue, or after all great exhausting exertions, Arsenicum will give relief.

If the exertion had been accompanied by much lifting and stretching, or if it had caused perspiration, and the body cooled too quickly by cold air or water, give Rhus tox.

Should fatigue produce a sensation of faintness, or actual fainting, give Veratrum.

If no food had been taken for a long time, Coffea.

For great weakness, in consequence of profuse perspiration, give China.

If the fatigue is so great that it causes internal pains and restlessness, sleep does not refresh, everything pains at the slightest touch, walking relieves a little and the beating of the pulse is felt all over the body…. give Natrum muriaticum.

If there are symptoms of internal heat, such as hot breath and quick pulse, give Aconite and if not relieved by this, Bryonia.
