I am from Greece. I have a female dog with osteosarcoma in her back leg. I would like to do homeopathy to save my dog. She is about 25 kilos, about 5years old. Can you help me please?

The two remedies that I have found most helpful with osteosarcoma are Silicea 1M or 10M and Phosphorus 1M. The Phosphorus dog is effervescent, attentive, demanding, loving and can be the life of the party. You have to pick one remedy and give it three times a day at that high potency for a few weeks. If your dog seems the fragile type, choose Silicea. That said, it slows it if it works but does not cure it.

Hello Dr. Khalsa,
I have been using homeopathic remedies since 1985 on my dogs. I have a 4 year old Great Dane that has some allergy issues and it has become severe. Just above his nostrils it begins to swell to the point that he has trouble breathing. It is worse at night and it is on both sides. I have used saline solutions. His nose drips early in the morning, it is clear, not sticky and no color. After a few hours it seems to subside. He has scratched himself to the point where he has caused damage to his nose. I don’t believe it is food related. I am sure it is environmental. I live in Florida and he has been with me since he was 10 weeks old. I have a 9 year old Great Dane and he does not seem to be affected the way that my younger one is. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Hi Dr. Khalsa,
I have a Deer Chihuahua around 7 years old who still continues to lick furniture, pillows, etc and the blanket is wet all day and night. Also his neck glands get large and hard, on and off. He has bouts where he also chews on his hind leg/paw.
Do you have any suggestions?

I would make sure he has all he needs as far as a supplement because sometimes they are missing something in their diet that they need. You can try Canine Everyday Essentials as it is a complete vitamin/mineral microencapsulated product that is totally balanced and absorbable. You can also give Silicea 30c twice a day for one month for the glands. You may want to have him examined by a veterinarian and get a Lyme test if you live in a high Lyme disease area.

Dear Dr. Khalsa,
We feed our cats raw food which we make ourselves. We also give them Blue Buffalo dry. They have both become too fat and are always crying for the dry food, in spite of the fact that they eat plenty. They eat it voraciously! How do I get them to lose weight? I believe that one of them is a Calc constitutionally. The other, I don’t know.

Believe it or not, they likely need more fat in their diet and a good supplement. They should get a tablespoon each of coconut oil in their food and most cats love it. It supercharges their metabolism. Also, yellow butter – which is grass fed butter- is great for metabolism and very healthy indeed. It has to be something like Kerry Gold Butter which is visibly yellow. Also give them a good supplement like Vital Vities for Cats which is at www.deservingpets.com. After two or three weeks with a nice pat of butter a day and a teaspoon of coconut oil and Vital Vities for Cats… let me know how they do.

Dear Dr. Khalsa,
I have four dogs and only the little one (Teddy) smells bad. He smells bad even after a bath. I have tried everything and cannot get rid of his offensive odor. If he walks in the room I do not have to even see him to know he is there. He eats and acts perfectly normally. He’s also a licker.

He may have a chronic case of malasezzia, which is a yeast. Here is an article you can read about this. It does not always have to be itchy. That said, you did not give me enough information to choose a remedy. Psorinum and Sulphur are good for smelly dogs but I do not have enough information to give you a definitive remedy for this. Changing his diet may also help.
