Dubai: Mental health, ayurveda and homeopathy now part of basic insurance plan, says DHA
Mental health and alternative medicine treatments such as ayurveda and homoeopathy will now be covered under basic health insurance plan in Dubai. The scheme is expected to come into effect two months from the date of issuance of the circular.
Required training in some aspect of AYUSH
According to Draft Regulations for Compulsory Rotating Internship 2021 released by the National Medical Commission 2021 on July 7, MBBS students will be required to undergo mandatory internship training in AYUSH — ayurveda, yoga, unani, siddha and homeopathy and sowa rigpa, The NMC declared that interns can choose any elective from ayurveda, yoga, unani, homeopathy, and Siddha Sowa Rigpa for Ayush.

Some Heart Sounds
A diastolic murmur is heard best over the aorta in insufficiency, or openness of the aortic valves.
A systolic murmur of pulmonary valves is heard best at second and third intercostal space. Left side of sternum indicates valvular insufficiency.
A presystolic murmur at apex is mitral and the cause is obstruction. Its character is rasping.
To differentiate a pleuritic friction sound from a heart murmur, remember that the pleuritic sound occurs with the respiration and is absent when the patient suspends respiration.
A systolic murmur heard loudest at the apex is due to mitral regurgitation.
Systolic murmur heard loudest over the ensiform cartilage is diagnostic of tricuspid regurgitation.
A harsh systolic murmur heard at second intercostal space, right side, close to sternum tells of aortic stenosis or in other words constriction of the aortic opening.
When the pulse is like shot it signifies regurgitation at the aortic opening.
An increase of first sound over the ensiform cartilage denotes pulmonary obstruction.

Bangladesh -Homeopaths can’t use “doctor” title
The High Court on Saturday ruled that people with homoeopathic and Unani degrees cannot use “Doctor” as a title before their names. They may use Integrated Physician, Complementary Physician, Integrated Medicine Practitioner and Alternative Medical Practitioner. They ruled that as per the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) Act 2010, no one other than a person holding an MBBS or BDS degree from a registered institution can use the doctor title in their names.

Sarsaparlla – In children, face like old people, enlarged abdomen, dry, flabby skin (Bar. c, Op.). Sand in urine or on diaper. Child screams before and while passing it (Bor., Lyc).
Secale – Hemorrhagic diathesis – the slightest wound causes bleeding for weeks (Lach., Phos.) The skin feels cold to the touch, yet the patient cannot tolerate covering, icy coldness of extremities.
Aurum – Uneasy, hurried, great desire for mental and physical activity, cannot do things fast enough (Arg. n.). Oversensitive. least contradiction excites wrath. Ailments from grief, fright, anger, contradiction, mortification.

Ambra grisea
Ambra is particularly indicated in thin, spare men, who have a decidedly nervous temperament, in whom nervousness predominates at the expense of nutrition. It is particularly indicated for the nervous complaints of old people, especially when they are forgetful and cannot remember the simplest fact.
Aranea
Aranea also attacks the bones. It is especially indicated in disease of the os calcis, when the patient complains of violent, dull boring pain in that bone. Sometimes there is a sensation as if the bones felt like ice.
Peritonitis
In peritonitis, Lachesis is indicated late when the fever still continues and is worse after 1p.m. and at night. The slightest touch to the surface of the body is intolerable.
Cannabis
In renal disease, Cannabis is indicated when uraemia sets in, attended by severe headache, with a sensation as if the vertex was opening and shutting.
Petroselinum
Petroselinum, is indicated by frequent, sudden and irresistible urging to urinate. In the case of a child, it will be suddenly seized with the desire to urinate. If he cannot be gratified immediately, he will jump up and down with pain.
Apocynum Cannabinum
Apocynum Cannabinum is used for general dropsies, swelling of any part
of the body, ascites, hydrothorax, etc., usually without any organic disease as a cause. The patient cannot tolerate any food. Food or water is immediately ejected.
Actea racemosa
Actea produces a delirium, with hallucinations of rats, etc. It develops an overwhelming apprehensiveness, with no apparent cause, but which cannot be overcome, reducing the patient to despair.
Conium
Conium weakens the heart, causing the pulse to be one moment full and regular and the next soft, weak, and irregular. This symptom is a uncommon indication for Conium in aged people.
